Lipofilling

Lipofilling (correction of cosmetic defects through injecting a patient’s own fat) has been performed for a century. Recent years saw development of a new technique of intake and preparation of fat for transplanting which guarantee long-lasting correction effect. Our clinic has a special technique of fat cell processing and postprocedural treatment which permits to save maximal number of cells and thus to ensure durable long-lasting effect of lipofilling.

Typical patients:

1. Contour damaging or subdermal fat atrophy.
2. Wrinkles, folds, small or deformed lips, indented scars, pronounced lacrimal groove.
3. Correction of skin relief deformations occurred after liposuction.
4. Hollowed cheeks, small chin, non-pronounce cheekbones, thin shins, and small buttocks.

Procedure:

1. Local anaesthesia or in combination with light intravenous sedation.
2. Fat intake and filling in is performed through punctures which leave not scars.
3. The procedure is performed in outpatient center and anticipates fat transfer from one area to another, using micrografting equipment. Microscopic fat grafts are filled in by a needle into micro tunnels in the deformation area.
4. After the surgery plaster is applied onto injection sites for a day.
5. The procedure may be performed in conjunction with other cosmetic surgeries.
6. Fat may be repeatedly filled in 4-6 months later to increase the volume.
7. Fat taken during the first procedure may be frozen and stored within a year.

Recovery:

1. You may return home immediately after the procedure and return to active activity.
2. You may take shower on the following day.
3. You have no pain feelings.
4. Edema can be moderate or pronounced, and its peak comes on 2^nd-3^rd day. Edema disappears completely by 6^th-8^th day.
5. Bruises are usually not observed.
6. No stitches.
7. I recommend keeping out of social activity for first 5-6 days.

Result:

1. Well-shaped and proportional contour.
2. Natural and younger appearance.
3. Lipofilling gives stable and long-lasting result. As soon as capillaries reach transferred fat cells such cells will remain there forever.

Lipofilling result depends on your vessels growth. Usually, after injection 50-70% of fat cells survive. Due to this we recommend to repeat the procedure in 4-6 months to achieve the best result.
